With the obvious exception of winter sports, almost all sports can be practised in Alicante. The Tossal Sports Park is a large leisure area equipped with a wide variety of sports facilities and is well connected with the city centre, and the Gran Via, the inner ring road.
It is also possible to practise tennis, horse riding, swimming, martial arts, Go-karting, hockey, etc. Alicante even has its own flying club.
Alicante is an ideal location for football championships of all kinds, team rallies, mid-season coaching breaks, or team coaching, with an additional guarantee of excellent climate and hotels and leisure infrastructure that are superb.
There are various golf courses that are close to the city of Alicante, including Alicante Golf, in Playa de San Juan, recently opened and designed by Severiano Ballesteros.

Alicante Nautical Club Association
The "Asociación Estación Náutica de Alicante, Santa Pola y El Campello" (Alicante, Santa Pola & El Campello Nautical Resort Association), which promotes nautical tourism within the area of Alicante all year round, specialises in advising on and marketing tourist packages that combine nautical activities with accommodation in establishments in the city centre and surrounding areas.

Alicante Royal Regata Club
Although The Royal Regatta Club as an institution is more than 100 years old, it has very modern installations on the Avenida de Villajoyosa, next to Cocó Beach and in the marina of Alicante. Its facilities include rowing and sailing schools, etc. The characteristics of the Mediterranean and its climate, added to the fact that Alicante itself overlooks a bay, makes the practice of almost all kinds of water sports feasible.
